My wonderful wife, Pamela, and I blended families in 2001. We have four children, three grandchildren, one cat (Squeakers), and a dog (Brownie-Mae). Pamela and I have also had the opportunity to foster several children over the years. We have been a part of the Lighthouse family for over 16 years in some capacity. However, in 2006, we believed that the Lord was calling us to assist other ministries, so we stepped out to follow His leading.
In 2010, we went back to school, both attending the University of Central Oklahoma. Pamela graduated with a master’s degree in Educational Leadership. She already held a bachelor’s degree in Family and Child Development. I graduated in 2015 with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology. Previously, I graduated from Rhema Bible School and Southwestern College of Christian ministries with an associate in arts degree. The Lord has given us a passion, and continues to use us, to bring comfort and healing spiritually, emotionally, and physically to many.
On the surface, it appeared our journey back to Lighthouse was to attend church with our children and grandchildren, but God had other plans for our lives! We found ourselves helping-out with the praise and worship and eventually, I became the worship team leader and Pamela was in charge of the sound production. I had no intention of preaching, but the zeal returned to me after I agreed to fill-in for the pastor one Sunday so he could go out of town. About a month later, the pastor turned in his resignation and my wife and I stepped up to lead the congregation. In May of 2015, we officially became the pastors at Lighthouse Church.
On a personal note, Pamela and I enjoy traveling, eating out, grilling outdoors, and watching OU Sooner’s football. Pamela likes to dance, but I have two left feet. We love to laugh and have a good time with friends, especially during football season, as I am a huge fan of watching the NFL on T.V.
